From May 1st through September 14th I wrote 240,000 words. I finished three and a half first drafts. I sort of hate one of them and I don't know if it will ever see the light of day, but maybe someday with LOTS of edits. And the last one is only half finished.
Despite the things that bother me, the things that still sound like failures, the facts of what I've done in less than four and a half months are still kind of amazing. I wrote almost a quarter of a million words in less than five months.
That is pretty COOL! No matter how down I get on myself for pausing, that is damn awesome.
Also, one of those first drafts is my all time favorite thing I've ever written, and I'm excited to start editing it in October. So I start revising in October, and then NaNoWriMo is just around the corner in November. I have my idea, and I need to start plotting. Hopefully I will have a month to write it!
