Fun fact about this book: She wrote it back in 2011 for a novella writing contest being held by Debbie Macomber's publishing house. Debbie Macomber was picking the winner and she SO wanted to meet her. Guess she totally overlooked the fact that although the winner would be published in the back of a reissue of her book, Family Affair, they wouldn't get to meet her. She's Christina's absolute favorite author!
About Christina: She's had probably close to a hundred different jobs over the years but during them all she was always writing. When she switched from nonfiction to fiction, she made a deal that she would absolutely be published by age 50. She received news of this book contract exactly one year and one month (Jan 19 bday, Feb 19 email from publisher) after her 51st birthday. And she'd almost thrown in the towel.
GOOD thing she didn't!!!
So check it out, buy it, review it - and make an author smile today :)
