Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, Bliss Edwards decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible - a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor.
She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier.
Summary: (No spoilers)
Bliss is an acting student who decides she need to get laid. She meets a hot dude at the bar, on and did I mention he has an accent? Yes, he does.
But she freaks out and runs away, even thought he's in HER bed. Then when she goes to school the next morning, guess who's there?!
The rest of the story unfolds with trying to stay away from each other, because it's against the rules, but always being pulled back together from attraction... or is it more?!
This was a fun read for those of us who like New Adult. If you like BEAUTIFUL DISASTER, then my guess if you will like LOSING IT. Bliss is a fun character, and I could totally relate to her inability to say the right thing, pretty much ever.
Also I love Hamlet... you'll get that one when you read it.
I liked this story, and though it wasn't my favorite NA ever, it was definitely worth the read.
Yes, but with a caveat. I would recommend this title to those readers who like NA and don't mind the "virgin meets boy she can't have" thing. To be fair Carmack and McGuire pretty much were the creators of this trend in NA, but I know there are those readers who are sick of it. I didn't mind the virgin part, and I liked the characters and plot a lot.
BUT I started reading FAKING IT, the companion, and I'm pretty sure it's even better :)
