I love Sundays. I've definitely fallen for them again :) In school I used to hate them, because they were just "pre-Mondays," but now since I like my job and I'm writing again Sundays are wonderful. This weekend I really love my Sunday!
The first two days of NaNoWriMo did not go as well as I'd hoped. I had a Halloween party on Friday night, and despite taking a half day I only wrote 966 words of my hoped for two thousand before heading to see friends in costumes.
Then I was an idiot on Friday night, and lets just say that Saturday was not a good day. It was a really, really bad day in fact. I managed to write over a thousand words during the evening, but I was still sixteen hundred behind of my goal for the first two days.
Just two days into the THIRTY of NaNo and I was already sixteen hundred words behind. WTF. Slacker!
Well today is Sunday and I've used Sundays lately to play catch up with my writing. My goal was to completely catch up and write thirty-six hundred words today. I'm proud to say I've already hit that goal by 4:30 pm! AND I'm not even done yet! I've taken a break to write this post :) because I've been neglecting my blog a bit, and I'm sure I will continue to during the rest of November (please forgive me). But I have the rest of the next chapter laid out in bullet points and I think that I may finish it tonight.
I may even get another thousand words! I'm so happy that I've caught up. It would have really sucked to remain behind for the first three days of a thirty day challenge, because the further I get behind the more I have to write to catch up. Not a good feeling as those numbers behind grow!
Before I sign off to continue writing I was wondering how my other NaNoWriMo friends are doing with their goals? Are you on track for 50k in thirty days? How are you staying motivated? How are you getting through blocks?
I also want to share some writer love! Keep your chin up guys :) I believe in you, and I know you can write that amazing novel!
I want to see all of you published :)
